What do YOU want with the new AGTs?

Personally I'm really hoping for a brunette version of ag 21 with amber or brown eyes and maybe freckles as well. I also really hope they offer a few more minority dolls. As of right now they only the one Asian and just two dolls that could pass for bi-racial or Hispanic. Not to mention no dolls that look Arabic, Native American or Indian. Well, ag 15 might fit that bill. But I have this horrible feeling they may retire her this time around. Anyway, thats what I would certainly like to see. Does anyone know how many new dolls they are releasing and exactly when they make their debut? I thought it was three but I am not sure.

I think since they have switched the name to JLY dolls they should have some shorter hair dolls!! Not every little girl has long hair, I would love to see a doll that was similar to Lindsey, I really think that would be soo cute also I would love to see a red haired doll with curly hair and freckles ( most red heads have freckles)!!

I'm not sure how many new dolls there will be or when they're coming out. I've heard the end of this month or at the same time Emily is released.

I'm personally hoping for another Asian doll or maybe a dolly with straight short hair. ^_^ I'm excited to see!

JLY stands for "Just Like You". That's what the Today dolls are now called. I hope this helps.

I'd also love to see some dolls with short hair. They also need to make more minority dolls.

If AG is going to call the dolls JLY, well then the dolls should be JUST LIKE YOU. I think the dolls should be made to order: Glasses no glasses, freckles no freckles, bangs no bangs, blonde-red-brown-black or two tone or anywhere in between hair colors, long-short or layered hair, race. Otherwise a doll is not just like me.

I like the idea of having an AGT with glasses if you wish, or no glasses. The new name does not fit very well, none of the current dolls look just like me.

Besides, the term ?Just Like You? is such a turn off, IMO. I mean, I think it?s kind of boring to have a doll that looks just like you. You can see yourself in the mirror for free, why would you pay almost one hundred dollars for a doll that looks like your reflection then? I certainly wouldn't. But that's just me.

And I don?t want to be a spoilsport here or anything, but it does seem highly unlikely that we will be getting new dolls. We did just get loads of new outfits, Bitty Twins, and etcetera. Didn?t AG just come out with some new AGT?s last year or something, too?

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I hadn't even though of what you said about the new name, but I agree with that too. Lots of girls are going to want an agt just because they like how it looks, not just a doll that looks like them.

As for making new dolls, it sounded like some people knew for sure from people at AG, that it wasn't just a rumor. I could be wrong though. But still, AG came out with three new dolls in fall 04' along with Nellie and in 06' they came out with Elizabeth and two new agts. So following that pattern I actually think its likely we will see at least one new agt this year.
